Unable to transfer files with VPN (Fix)

Most of the times SHAREit works seamlessly and allows you to easily transfer different types of files and apps from one device to other in no-time by using Wi-Fi to transfer files instead of Bluetooth which makes it easier to transfer files between the devices.

However, sometimes when either the sending or receiving device is connected to a VPN then you may face a problem where you are unable to send or receive files. The main issue here is a VPN due to which you are unable to receive or send files


Why VPN causes problems?

When you run VPN on devices then it can result in failure to activate hotspot on receiving due to which both of the devices aren’t connected to the same network, which results in the devices unable to share files between them using SHAREit.

VPNs can also cause connection problems between receiving and sending devices. These connection problems can also result in failure to send and receive files using SHAREit.

How to fix this?

Before you make any transfer using SHAREit, it is recommended that you close all the VPN apps so that the file transfer may occur smoothly.

If you are connected to any VPN connection, then turn it off and then transfer the files so, no problem may occur and you will be able to transfer files easily.
